"It was very emotional for me, people on social media always said I’m a ball boy," Vilakazi told <a href="https://farpost.co.za/2024/03/27/people-always-said-im-a-ball-boy-chiefs-starlet-mfundo-vilakazi/" target="_blank">Far Post</a>."On the day I played my first match, it was the right time for me. It was an opportunity to show what I am capable of doing on the field of play."Honestly, I wasn’t pressured that I’m still yet to play for the Kaizer Chiefs senior team. I had told myself that my time would come no matter what," he added."Even if it was going to be this year or next year, I knew that I was going to play for the senior team. It’s pointless to get an opportunity early and then fail to deliver and go back to the [second-tier league]."

WHAT VILAKAZI SAID

The youngster might be involved when Amakhosi play Cape Town City in the PSL game on Saturday at Athlone Stadium.If he remains consistent, then he will surely play a big role as Chiefs try to end their trophy drought next season.
