'Rip it up!' - James McClean sends rousing message to Paul Mullin as Wrexham legend bids farewell to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side

<p>Wrexham confirmed on Monday that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/paul-mullin-s-next-club-revealed-wrexham-hero-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-s-side/blt3d096c1b06a6be13" target="_blank">Mullin has joined Wigan Athletic on loan</a> ahead of the 2025/26 season. The striker scored a staggering 110 goals in 172 games for the Welsh club and played a key role in the Red Dragons' rise from the National League to the Championship.  </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>As Mullin's departure was confirmed, Irish winger McClean took to Instagram to send a rousing message to his colleague. In his story, McClean wrote: "All the best mate @paulmullin12. <p>After a successful journey with Wrexham, the 30-year-old forward will aim to fire Wigan back into the Championship. The club finished 15th last season in League One.  </p>
