<p>Per <a href="https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Mercato-jhon-duran-aston-villa-proche-d-al-nassr/1535885" target="_blank"><em>L'Equipe</em></a>, Duran is all set to move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr and link up with Cristiano Ronaldo. Aston Villa are 'ready to accept' an offer in excess of €70 million (£58m/$73m) for the 21-year-old, who has already agreed to contract terms with the Middle Eastern club.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>For a long time, the Villans maintained that Duran would not be allowed to leave the club in January. Accordingly, Paris Saint-Germain were said to be preparing a summer swoop, while <a href="https://www.footmercato.net/a6002023713110734685-mercato-psg-le-real-madrid-entre-dans-la-danse-pour-jhon-duran" target="_blank"><em>Foot Mercato</em></a> reported last week that Real Madrid had also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/jhon-duran-battle-real-madrid-endrick-psg-al-nassr-striker-aston-villa/blta757df61d6e7c679#cs89060c381b7ba864" target="_blank">joined the race for Duran and were reportedly ready to offer Endrick</a> in a swap deal. However, it now appears that Al-Nassr will beat both clubs to the punch.</p>

<p>Ronaldo has been pushing his club to sign a new attacker to strengthen their squad so that Al-Nassr can push for the Saudi Pro League title in the second half of the season. With Anderson Talisca joining Fenerbahce, they now have a slot empty for an overseas signing in their squad.</p>
