At the start of 2025, Klopp took over as Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull Group - <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/1000-per-cent-rb-leipzig-strong-response-possibility-former-liverpool-boss-jurgen-klopp-replacing-marco-rose-manager/blt69ce3cc01ff75aee" target="_blank">overseeing strategic plans for their collection of football clubs</a>, which includes RB Leipzig, the New York Red Bulls, Leeds United and Paris FC.</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.lastampa.it/sport/2025/05/19/news/roma_mister_klopp-15154459/amp/ " target="_blank"><em>La Stampa</em></a>, that could happen at Roma. The Serie A outfit have parted company with ex-Chelsea and Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri as he heads into retirement. Klopp was identified as a top target by the Friedkin ownership group in Rome “some time ago”.</p>
