WHAT REAL MADRID SAID

<p>Madrid’s preparations took a hit when Mbappe missed Tuesday’s open training session in Palm Beach Gardens. A club spokesperson confirmed he was experiencing a fever, which later turned out to be a symptom of gastroenteritis. As a result, he was omitted from the matchday squad for Wednesday’s clash with Al-Hilal, where young striker Gonzalo Garcia stepped in and made an immediate impact, scoring the game’s opening goal. The Saudi side equalised through a Ruben Neves penalty, and Madrid were forced to settle for a draw after Federico Valverde missed a last-minute spot kick.</p>
