Earlier this week, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/kylian-mbappe-psg-exit-real-madrid-transfer-summer/blt0babc3165af5d51f" target="_blank">Mbappe announced his departure from the Ligue 1 side</a> after having been part of the club since 2018. He will reportedly join Real Madrid bringing an end to a long-term saga, and the French World Cup winner has opened up about his future.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Speaking to Quotidien, Mbappe said <a href="https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2024/kylian-mbappe-im-super-excited-what-awaits-me-will-be-magical/" target="_blank">[via GFFN]</a>: "Paris – that represents a lot of things. The fact of having played at such a big club, the love of the fans, a demanding fanbase but one that only wants to love you and then there are the titles. I have won quite a few at Paris! My career took another trajectory at PSG. I owe that to PSG. "I am going to lose lots of things [by leaving France] but gain lots of other things. I am looking forward. I am super excited. What awaits me will be magical."PSG will continue to be big. If I was attracted [to the club], others will be too. Big players want to play at special clubs and PSG is a special club.”

WHAT MBAPPE SAID

He is now likely to make his way to Los Blancos later this summer in a move that has been in the making for over half a decade.
