<p>Paris FC chief Michael Denisot has firmly dismissed any speculation about a potential future transfer for Mbappe, quashing rumours linking the French superstar to the Ligue 1 newcomers. Despite Paris FC’s ambitions to establish themselves as a competitive force in French football, Denisot emphasised that signing the former PSG superstar is not part of their plans.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>In an interview with <a href="https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/-l-idee-n-est-pas-de-faire-revenir-mbappe-a-paris-michel-denisot-evoque-le-mercato-du-paris-fc-pour-la-ligue-1/1559319" target="_blank"><em>L'Equipe</em></a><em>, </em>Denisot said: “The idea is not to bring Mbappe back to Paris. The idea is rather to build a team of players coming, as much as possible, from the Paris region."</p>

WHAT MICHAEL DENISOT SAID

<p>Having started at Monaco, Mbappe has spent the majority of his career so far at PSG, where he spent seven seasons and became the club's all-time top scorer with 256 goals in 308 games. Last summer, he made a highly-anticipated move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/always-thinking-about-himself-kylian-mbappe-compared-cristiano-ronaldo-scathing-assessment-real-madrid-france-star-very-uncomfortable-vinicius-jr/bltadef01e10d911490" target="_blank">where he is just two goals away from breaking the record for most goals scored in a debut season for the club</a>.</p>

<p>The 26-year-old Frenchman will return in action for Madrid on Sunday, May 11, when Carlo Ancelotti's side take on Barcelona in a potential La Liga title decider. Mbappe has 24 goals in the league, just one behind top scorer Robert Lewandowski.</p>
