<p>Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has shed light upon his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/robert-lewandowski-sends-warning-to-lamine-yamal-hype-around-barcelona-wonderkid-continues/bltc226c5ee2b54a2d5" target="_self">alleged fractious relationship with Robert Lewandowski</a>, the oldest player in the squad and his fellow strike partner, admitting that things hadn't always been the best with the former Bayern Munich man.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>During a match against Sevilla, Lewandowski was seen reprimanding Yamal after the youngster missed a promising chance, despite the striker being in a prime position to score. </p><p>Instead, Yamal took the shot himself, hitting the crossbar and leaving Lewandowski visibly frustrated. Lewandowski was also seen on camera gesturing with his hands to express his disapproval towards Yamal.</p><p>The 17-year-old, though, has cleared the air and assured that everything is now okay between the duo.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>"Very well, we all get along really well this year," Yamal said when <a href="https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20250220/1002411042/lamine-yamal-explica-reacciones-flick-cambia.html" target="_self">Mundo Deportivo</a> asked him about his relationship with Lewandowski. </p><p>"It’s true that maybe last year, the context we were in, both as a club and as individuals, wasn’t the best... In the end, veteran players like Robert, who comes from winning the Champions League and all that, are a bit more worn out. And we, being younger, come with more energy. </p><p>"It’s normal, these things happen, and this year I think it’s clear that we’re doing great. Both Rapha and Robert with me, and me with Rapha and Robert… We’re perfect and eager to keep scoring goals."</p>

WHAT LAMINE YAMAL SAID

<p>The duo will be hoping their on-field chemistry clicks to another gear when they take on Las Palmas on Saturday, February 22, as the league leaders, followed by a Copa del Rey semis first-leg game against Atletico Madrid next Tuesday.</p>
