<p>Grealish recently became a father, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/pep-guardiola-take-note-jack-grealish-free-spirit-man-city-new-role-england/blt6d8e2c32865d5bfd" target="_blank">welcoming his first child, Mila Rose,</a> with his partner Sasha Attwood. The Manchester City star is now embracing the challenges of fatherhood but believes Carsley has a more difficult job at hand of selecting the England starting XI given the talent at his disposal.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Speaking to the media, Grealish made a light-hearted comparison between his struggles as a new dad and that of Carsley. "Yeah, I think he'll have a lot more [sleepless nights] I reckon with the players he's got to pick from!" Grealish joked when asked who might struggle more with their new responsibilities.</p><p></p>

WHAT GREALISH SAID

<p>While Grealish <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/jack-grealish-fury-england-euro-2024-squad/blt4ab27e535e218941" target="_blank">described missing out on Euro 2024 as "probably the most difficult period of my life</a>" he revealed that the arrival of his daughter had been an uplifting experience and went to share the details of the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-city-jack-grealish-baby-daughter-with-girlfriend-sasha-attwood/blt4f1e543f3786893c" target="_blank">whirlwind 24 hours that led up to her birth.</a></p><p>"It was an unbelievable day," Grealish recalled. "Actually Sasha had a scan on the Friday morning and then she realised she was going to come a few weeks early, so I had to leave training on the Friday. It was the best moment of my life, as you can imagine. I don't really know how to explain it. You feel so many good moments in your life, but that just tops everything.</p><p>"I got the train to London and then it happened on Friday afternoon. I stayed there obviously for two or three hours, and then I had to get a plane all the way to Newcastle. I arrived at probably gone midnight at the hotel and, yeah, I was playing the next morning at 12.30pm at Newcastle away. It was an unbelievable 24 hours.”</p>

<p>For Grealish, the highs of becoming a father have coincided with a revival in his international career. After being left out of Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2024, Carsley has afforded Grealish a new opportunity to prove himself on the international stage. After scoring in <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/pep-guardiola-take-note-jack-grealish-free-spirit-man-city-new-role-england/blt6d8e2c32865d5bfd" target="_blank">England’s 2-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland</a> during the September international break, he would look to repeat his heroics when the Three Lions take on Greece and Finland this week.</p>
