<p>Barcelona took to social media on Saturday to say Lionesses keeper Roebuck had suffered the blow from a tackle in training ahead of facing Madrid CFF on Sunday. The club added that she did not lose consciousness but will miss this upcoming Liga F encounter.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>A club statement reads: "First-team player Ellie Roebuck suffered a traumatic brain injury without loss of consciousness as a result of a tackle during the warm-up of the match against Madrid CFF. WHAT BARCELONA SAID

<p>Roebuck has had a difficult couple of years after the 25-year-old admitted in March 2024 that she had <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ellie-roebuck-health-update-suffered-man-city-lionesses-goalkeeper-asks-privacy-emotional-twitter-message/blt1ad7696db9359a10" target="_blank">suffered a stroke in 2023</a>. She had nearly a year out from the game before returning to action in December. Now the former Manchester City star is dealing with this latest setback.</p>
