Liverpool issued a damning statement on Sunday after Diaz's goal was wrongly ruled out against Tottenham. The PGMOL admit that a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/luis-diaz-goal-liverpool-tottenham-should-have-stood-pgmol/blt03f532450c7b11df#cs8cc061608ef82848" target="_blank">'significant human error' occurred</a>, but the Reds claim that the explanation was "unacceptable" and say that there is a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-slam-pgmol-s-unacceptable-reasoning-luiz-diaz-tottenham-defeat/blt9262bc7afc878550#cscd38e98c3725863c" target="_blank">"clear need for escalation and resolution".</a>

WHAT HAPPENED?

Liverpool were left reeling after their defeat to Spurs; they had both Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota sent off, while Joel Matip scored a 96th-minute own goal to condemn them to a devastating defeat. Still, Manchester United legend Neville believes that the Reds have overstepped the mark with their statement, and have strayed into both "dangerous phrases" and "aggressive" language.
