<p>Liverpool are planning an offer of £30 million (€35.1m/$41.2m) for Palace defender Guehi, according to <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14842809/Liverpool-transfer-questions-answered-Ibrahima-Konate-Marc-Guehi-Alexander-Isak.html" target="_blank"><em>the Daily Mail</em></a>. The England international is out of contract at Selhurst Park next year and is said to favour a move to the Reds ahead of other Premier League teams.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Guehi has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and helped Palace win the 2024-25 FA Cup with a brilliant performance in the final against Manchester City. It's thought the Eagles value the 24-year-old around the £70m mark, but his contract situation could force the Croydon outfit to accept a fee almost half than less of their valuation.</p>

<p>With <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-dealt-jarell-quansah-buyback-clause-blow-details-bayer-leverkusen-transfer-emerge/bltc5c2b4d4f61bcb0c" target="_blank">Jarell Quansah due to move to Bayer Leverkusen</a>, Liverpool are in need of greater depth at centre-back. Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate was the preferred partnership during the title-winning campaign, but the Frenchman has not yet extended his own contract at Anfield, which could open up a starting spot for Guehi.</p>
