<p>Sancho is currently on a season-long loan at Stamford Bridge from United after his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/fall-jadon-sancho-man-utd-england-hope-erik-ten-hag-row/bltccc0bb002bef46fd" target="_blank">rather public showdown with former Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag last season, which saw the winger banned from the first-team</a>. While the 24-year-old was told that he was welcome back into the squad by Ten Hag, Sancho preferred to leave United and departed for Enzo Maresca's side on deadline day on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Sancho has been playing well at Chelsea under Maresca and is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jadon-sancho-home-man-utd-road-to-redemption-chelsea-old-trafford-circus/blt96c62e801b4ac88f" target="_blank">starting to show a return to the kind of form that he had demonstrated at Borussia Dortmund</a>. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/chelsea-player-ratings-vs-tottenham-cole-palmer-title-race/blt013b7972dcf39b86" target="_blank">Englishman scored the Blues' first goal in their comeback against Tottenham Hotspur in a 4-3 win</a> away from home on Sunday. He has now fired shots at his doubters in a veiled dig at his doubters from his time at United.</p>

<p>Speaking to the Premier League media team, Sancho said: "From the very first day, [Chelsea] made me feel welcome. I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I’m just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do. Today, I am happy that I scored and helped secure three points for the team.</p><p>"Again, I’m just taking it game by game, and hopefully, I can continue this form. I have to say thank you to the whole Chelsea team and the staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play."</p>

WHAT SANCHO SAID

<p>The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/where-is-jadon-sancho-chelsea-newcastle-carabao-cup-man-utd/blt395aad1ed1de1414" target="_blank">winger has had a few issues at Chelsea</a> as well but those have <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/jadon-sancho-strong-fit-message-enzo-maresca-chelsea-conference-league-win-heidenheim/blt41c5022d2a9c102d" target="_blank">not seemed to affect his working relationship with Maresca.</a> He is unlikely to start or even travel when Chelsea travel 3,500 miles to take on Kazakhstan-based side Astana on Thursday.</p>
