WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The project is considered to be “a first-of-its-kind”, with City followers being encouraged to “create bold patterns and unique kit designs”. The winning concept will be donned by Blues stars in a “ground-breaking first for a professional football club”.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>After signing signing up, fans will get 15 free Design Credits and two entries, with the competition open until December 20 – when fan ratings, alongside input from kit experts at PUMA and City, will shortlist the top 10 designs and throw the final vote open to the public.</p>

WHAT MAN CITY & PUMA SAID

<p>City have been working with PUMA since 2019, when they entered into a long-term agreement with the German manufacturers. It has been claimed that the deal, which reportedly extends over a 10-year period, could be worth as much as £650 million ($831m) to the reigning Premier League champions.</p>
