<p>In February, the Premier League was handed a huge blow after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-city-win-legal-battle-premier-league-unlawful-sponsorship-rules-english-compensation-claims-clubs/blt461842ce4c0d21ba" target="_blank">City won their court case</a> disputing the top division's sponsorship rules over the last three years, which have been declared null and void. A tribunal, made up of three senior legal figures in Sir Nigel Teare, Lord Dyson and Christopher Vajda KC, sided in favour of the English champions.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Per <a href="https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/premier-league-manchester-city-legal-fees-dmd3jm2xh" target="_blank"><em>The Times</em></a>, the Cityzens are now likely to force the Premier League to pay their hefty £20m legal fees, which the club incurred for appointing a legal team comprising of Lord Pannick KC and Paul Harris KC. A separate hearing will now be conducted to determine who pays what amount, although the English top-flight are set to defend the case strongly.</p>
