Ruben Amorim is reportedly <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/zero-substance-andre-onana-transfer-rumours-man-utd-entertain-sale-right-offer-saudi-pro-league-linked-goalkeeper/blt224b4744d715932f" target="_blank">willing to sell goalkeeper Andre Onana</a> and is now scouting potential replacements, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/andre-onana-out-man-utd-newcastle-granted-time-off-ruben-amorim-lyon-horror-show/blt0b3de87592f77915" target="_blank">having dropped him last season</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Carnesecchi has emerged as Atalanta's No.1 in recent seasons, and made 44 appearances in all competitions last season, keeping 18 clean sheets. He has been called up to the Italy squad previously but has not yet made his full international debut, and he has attracted interest from the Premier League; <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-eyeing-move-atalanta-goalkeeper-marco-carnesecchi-competition-psg-mikel-arteta-david-raya/blt6ddd6c61a0072dee" target="_blank">Arsenal have previously been linked with a swoop to sign the 24-year-old</a>. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Carnesecchi has a contract with Atalanta until 2028, meaning they are in no hurry to let him go. United are yet to meet his asking price, and it remains to be seen if they will do so now Atalanta have set out their parameters for a deal. United have previously done plenty of business with Serie A clubs. </p>
