Ex-Man Utd star faces up to two years in jail after entering guilty plea to dangerous driving charge with hearing date set

<p>The 24-year-old <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ex-man-utd-brandon-williams-admits-to-dangerous-driving-charge/blte55e2b1866d1df0d" target="_blank">was caught speeding at 99mph in August 2023</a> and last month pleaded guilty to the charge, also admitting driving without third-party insurance. Williams' Audi A3 collided with a Ford Fiesta before crashing into the central reservation.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The full-back, who joined United as an eight-year-old before making his debut in 2019, will learn his sentence at a hearing that has been scheduled for May 9. He could receive a prison sentence of up to two years, the maximum set for such a conviction.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Williams was loaned to Norwich in 2021 and spent last season with Ipswich. In May last year, he was banned from driving and left Old Trafford when his contract expired last summer. He has been without a club since then.</p>
