<p><a href="https://www.caughtoffside.com/2025/05/15/rayan-cherki-liverpool-man-utd/" target="_blank"><em>Caughtoffside</em></a> reported this week that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-liverpool-pole-position-sign-lyon-rayan-cherki-agent-decision-man-city-tottenham-interest/blt91736598a4234c8e#cs0aee9191b858f119" target="_blank">Cherki's representatives have been in touch with United and Liverpool </a>about a potential move, with the winger said to have a <a href="goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-man-city-tottenham-enquiries-lyon-rayan-cherki-french-giants-summer-transfer-window/blt3748c914243e8d79#cs796914c8c29aabff" target="_blank">€22.5 million (£19m) release clause</a>. Now, the player himself has confirmed that he will leave Lyon at the end of the 2024-25 campaign as he bid farewell to the French club.</p>

<p>Speaking to reporters after Lyon's 2-0 win over Angers in their final league game of the season, the 21-year-old said: "Thanks to OL, the coach, the staff, the president, my teammates and all people at the club."</p>

<p>Cherki has also attracted interest from Premier League clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, while European giants like Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on signing the French sensation, who can play on the flanks and as a number 10. In the 2024-25 campaign, Cherki appeared in 44 matches for Lyon where he scored 12 goals and provided 20 assists. </p>
