Unconvincing? Yes. Will Erik ten Hag care? Probably not. Manchester United are clearly nowhere near their best, but after the disaster that was the defeat to Copenhagen in midweek, Saturday's 1-0 win over Luton Town was at least an improvement on that and, crucially, it's back-to-back wins in the Premier League.
Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund were all guilty of missing big chances as Victor Lindelof played hero this time, smashing home from close range - his first goal in three years - after Luton failed to clear Rashford's cut-back.
As expected, United dominated possession but, as we've seen time and again this season, with zero cutting edge. The win moves them up to sixth in the table, at least for now, but that profligate attack continues to be a cause for concern.
