<p>According to a report from <a href="https://www.teamtalk.com/manchester-united/transfer-news-enquiry-psg-star-warren-zaire-emery-huge-price-tag-revealed" target="_blank">TEAMtalk</a>, United are interested in signing Zaire-Emery from PSG this summer, and have held exploratory talks with the club, and with the midfielder's camp, to gauge interest in a potential deal. Any deal would be hugely expensive, and PSG have set a deliberately prohibitive asking price of around €100m .</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 19-year-old has made over 50 appearances this season, but was a substitute for the Champions League final, coming off the bench for just six minutes of their thumping 5-0 win over Inter Milan. He has a contract until 2029 and is still highly-regarded in France; PSG would only sell were a club to meet their valuation. </p>

<p>United face Profit and Sustainability Rules challenges this summer, especially after agreeing a deal for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/matheus-cunha-opens-up-dream-come-true-man-utd-move-claims-dont-understand-decision/bltd51020761aec1862" target="_blank">Matheus Cunha at £62.5m ($86m)</a>, as well as chasing a potential <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-close-in-on-bryan-mbeumo-agree-fee-brentford-iron-out-final-transfer-details/bltd658440f3774223b" target="_blank">£60m ($82m) agreement for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo</a>. They would have to sell to raise funds to be able to sign Zaire-Emery and have targets in other positions, particularly in goal, with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/man-utd-andre-onana-ruben-amorim-serie-a/blt84ce982a375e961b" target="_blank">Atalanta's Marco Carnesecchi an option to replace Andre Onana</a>. </p>

<p>United are unlikely to press ahead to sign Zaire-Emery until the latter stages of the transfer window, given the fact that they need to sell first. It is unclear if Zaire-Emery is interested in the prospect of a move to the Premier League. </p>
