<p>According to <a href="https://x.com/okdiario/status/1942546999082975648" target="_blank"><em>Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda</em></a>, Real Madrid have rebuffed United’s attempt to lure Tchouameni to Old Trafford. He has built a formidable reputation since joining Madrid from AS Monaco in 2022 for a fee in excess of £85m ($115m), including bonuses. During his two years at the Bernabeu, he has racked up 146 appearances, helping Los Blancos win both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in 2024.</p>

<p>With Christian Eriksen departing United following the expiration of his contract, there is a glaring hole in the centre of midfield that Amorim is eager to fill. Tchouameni was identified as a strong candidate to take on that responsibility, offering defensive solidity and composure in possession, qualities United lacked during their catastrophic season.</p>
