<p>Per <a href="https://x.com/Plettigoal/status/1854180740642279536" target="_blank"><em>Sky Sports Germany</em></a>, United are drawing up plans for the January window as they prepare for the arrival of new manager Amorim. The club are interested in signing an affordable striker to help the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, as well as a number eight in midfield.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Plettenberg claims that Leon Goretzka is a target for United but that the 29-year-old is unlikely to leave Bayern mid-season. The Germany international has made eight appearances this season but he has yet to start under Vincent Kompany. He is still said to have little interest in making a January move, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/leon-goretzka-mystery-surrounds-bayern-munich-midfielder-future-after-vincent-kompany-snub/blt7d84810a7bc713e5" target="_blank">despite Bayern attempting to sell him in the summer</a>.</p>
