Shaw was limited to just 12 Premier League appearances in 2023-24, while Malacia missed the entire campaign due to knee surgery and reported <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/complicated-tyrell-malacia-struggling-man-utd-premier-league-giants-to-clarify-full-back-s-mysterious-absence/blte2773a0b9097f358" target="_blank">mental health issues</a>.

WHAT HAPPENED?

As a result of Shaw and Malacia's fitness struggles, United have made the decision to sign a new full-back this summer and Kerkez has emerged as a surprise option.
