<p>According to a report from Portuguese outlet <em>Record</em>, Fulham head coach Silva is close to reaching an agreement with Tottenham to replace the sacked Ange Postecoglou. Although the decision has not been made final, Silva will be vying for the role at Spurs with Brentford boss Frank, who the media in UK claim to be <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/tottenham-no1-manager-thomas-frank-spurs-brentford-boss-europa-league-ange-postecoglou-brutally-sacked/blt2de949f0e2c20827#csa0a28de1999ad743" target="_blank">in pole position to take charge of the north London outfit</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the aftermath of his sacking, several Premier League managers such as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/tottenham-next-manager-top-options-replace-ange-postecoglou-ranked/blt09c69d8d357831e4" target="_blank">Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola and Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner have also been linked with the role</a>, although Frank and Silva seem to be the top two candidates as things stand.</p>

<p>The higher-ups at Spurs have also looked for suitable replacements overseas. Indeed, Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi was also approached by the Lilywhites, but <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1931272554536202390" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a> has revealed that the Italian rejected the advances from the Europa League champions in favour of continuing at Stade Velodrome for at least another season.</p>
