<p>The forward was sent on loan to Aston Villa in January and is likely to seek a permanent move in the summer. But former United goalkeeper Ben Foster has ruled out the prospect of a move to Arsenal, who he insists the club would never sell to "in a million years".</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Rashford was kept out in the cold by United boss Ruben Amorim, not featuring since 12 December until his Villa debut on 9 February. The club are very unlikely to want him back and the Midlands club are said to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-confirm-marcus-rashford-loan-transfer-to-aston-villa-gbp40m-buy-option-red-devils-also-reach-surprisingly-salary-agreement/blt99694fc63dfdf441" target="_blank">hold a £40m option</a> to make the move permanent, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/marcus-rashford-heart-set-barcelona-transfer-despite-failed-january-move-spanish-giants-man-utd-loanee-life-after-aston-villa/blt507a2f01fee0eee6" target="_blank">though Rashford himself is not so sure</a>. </p>

<p>Speaking on his podcast, Foster said: "Man Utd would never loan him to Arsenal [in January], never in a million years. They’re not going to send him [now].Even if Marcus Rashford kicks off massively, Manchester United would never, ever, ever send him to Arsenal, never in a million years. Happily send him to Villa. It’s that next rung down. They’re never sending him to Arsenal, I guarantee you that.”</p>

WHAT FOSTER SAID

<p>Rashford has jumped up the Premier League table by joining Villa, who are in the top half and competing to qualify for Europe again. He is also set to make his Champions League debut for the club when they take on Club Brugge in the round of 16 next week.</p>
