As per a report by <a href="https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2024/05/30/exclusive-favourites-emerge-to-sign-manchester-united-forward-mason-greenwood-and-he-could-replace-an-ex-red-devil/" target="_blank">HITC</a>, Atletico Madrid have now emerged as a potential destination for the 22-year-old and the Rojiblancos are looking to start talks with the player and United in case they do not terminate his contract this summer.

During his successful loan stint at La Liga side Getafe in 2023–2024, the striker was named <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mason-greenwood-player-of-the-season-getafe-tribute-departing-starboy-man-utd-transfer-decision/blt6ba57643bda6db0f" target="_blank">Los Azulones' Player of the Season</a>.
