WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Lozano enjoyed an immensely successful European career after moving from Liga MX side Pachuca to PSV in 2017. He spent two stints in the Eredivisie with the dutch club, either side of a tenure in Napoli, picking up four major trophies in seven years in Europe. His most significant accomplishment in Europe might have came in Italy as he was part of the Napoli squad that ended the Gli Azzurri's 23-year wait for a Serie A trophy in 2023.  <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/hirving-lozano-mls-mexico-four-year-deal-san-diego-fc-psv-eindhoven/blt6793bc54e3a04fed" target="_blank">He will join San Diego starting January as the club begins its first season in MLS</a>.</p>
