During the encounter on Saturday, which Leicester won 3-2, a video circulated on social media appearing to show a group of Millwall fans making sick hand gestures that referenced the helicopter crash in 2018 that killed Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The four other individuals on the flight, including the pilot, were also killed, as the crash occurred just minutes after the craft took off from the King Power Stadium pitch. Millwall fans on Saturday appeared to take joy in reminding the Foxes fans of an unspeakable tragedy that rocked the sport to its core.

Leicester have established a memorial garden at the site of the crash to pay tribute to those who lost their lives. One can only hope that they are also able to further educate fans who believe making such jokes falls under the purview of banter, rather than being sickeningly offensive.
