<p>Mount has been plagued by injury since signing for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/mason-mount-seals-gbp60m-man-utd-transfer-erik-ten-hag-lures-primary-transfer-target-from-chelsea/blt1fdf7a9ed643d83f" target="_blank">Manchester United from Chelsea in the summer of 2023</a>. The midfielder has just returned to action with Amorim's side, and was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/marcus-rashford-left-out-of-man-utd-squad-derby-clash-with-man-city/bltc3fc09994a51e472" target="_blank">named in the starting XI to face Manchester City</a> in the Premier League on Sunday, but was forced off on 12 minutes after suffering a fresh problem. Mount was able to hobble off the pitch unaided but now looks set for another spell on the sidelines. The midfielder's departure forced Amorim to tweak his game plan against City, with Kobbie Mainoo sent on to replace Mount.</p>
