The moment in question occurred during a light-hearted discussion between Salah, Elliott, and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. They were looking at footage from a Champions League match where Salah set up Elliott with a defence-splitting through ball. However, the goalscorer did not know it was Salah who provided the assist.Salah, adamant that he was the provider, humourously claimed: “Look who passes the ball to him. Look, easy. Football is easy." When Salah asked Elliott why he didn't come to him after the pass, Elliott replied that he couldn't see who provided the assist.Salah then went on to boast: "Yeah, but there is nobody in the team who has the ability to pass the ball like this. So it must be me. Someone looking there and passing the ball here. It must be me."
