<p>France international defender Kounde was on target for the Blaugrana as they <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/barcelona-player-ratings-real-betis-lamine-yamal-copa-del-rey-rout-raphinha/blt98e3a163dd8711e1 " target="_blank">swept to a 5-1 victory over Real Betis</a>. He was, however, denied a spectacular second strike of the night as VAR stepped in to rule a special effort out.</p>

<p>The intervention of technology showed that Kounde’s toe was in an offside position when collecting the ball, meaning that his goal had to be chalked off. Said incident occurred in the 51st minute, with the Frenchman left scratching his head.</p>

<p>Fortunately, given the final outcome, Kounde was able to see the funny side afterwards.
