<p>McElhenney was taking time away from north Wales over the international break and was an attendee at the ESPN College Gameday. As part of the coverage, the 'Pat McAfee Kicking Contest' allowed a fan called Kyle to take a 35-yard field goal in a chance to win $80,000. Kyle missed his first effort but, with the chance of a bumper $100,000, struck his kick through the posts to impress the Wrexham co-owner.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Fancying himself as a football scout, McElhenney joked on X that he was offering Kyle the chance to join the Red Dragons. He said: "My guy Kyle is a [football] player and just drilled a 35 yard field goal on national television like it was nothing. <p>As impressive as Kyle's kick may have been, he may struggle to dislodge any of the Wrexham squad currently.
