PFA Young Player of the Year nominees: New Chelsea signing Liam Delap and Arsenal starlet Myles Lewis-Skelly feature on six-man shortlist

<p>Delap is named after scoring 12 goals in his debut Premier League season and making a £30m move to Chelsea, while Lewis Skelly's nomination crowns a breakthrough campaign in which he also became an England international. There is space for another Arsenal youngster, two Bournemouth nominees and an Aston Villa star.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Ethan Nwaneri joins his Gunners team-mate Lewis-Skelly on the shortlist, alongside Morgan Rogers. THE NOMINEES

<p>Nwaneri scored nine goals during his breakthrough season at the Emirates, while Rogers was also superb at Villa, scoring 14 goals and assisting 15 in the 2024-25 campaign. Huijsen has broken into the Spain team and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/real-madrid-club-of-my-life-dean-huijsen-serenades-los-blancos-fans-making-dream-move-spanish-capital/blt8743b8c17770fed7" target="_blank">will play for Real Madrid next term</a>, and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/milos-kerkez-admits-liverpool-imminent-reds-arne-slot-squad/blt6af41396ff4371f5" target="_blank">Kerkez looks set to be on the move from Bournemouth</a>, too, with a move to Liverpool lined up.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The prestigious prize will be awarded during a ceremony at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday, August 19. On the same night, the PFA will dish out awards to the best players in the Premier League, WSL, Championship, League One and League Two.</p>
