PSG has a famous face to its brand, with Durant to announce a small share of the club's ownership, according to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1823033185921360062" target="_self">multiple reports </a>Monday. The club, which is primarily owned by Qatari Sports Investors (QSI), allowed American investment at the end of last year, selling 12.5 percent to Arctos Partners. The current valuation of the club as a whole is €4.25 billion.

WHAT HAPPENED?

This isn't Durant's first investment in sports. The NBA star has a five-percent stake in MLS side Philadelphia Union, and is a minority owner of reigning NWSL champions Gotham.His investment follows a surge of big-name NBA players getting involved in soccer. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/lebron-james-and-liverpool-the-la-lakers-stars-premier-league-investment-explained/l35fbosbgb3w1ep4cfs1totd1" target="_blank">Lebron James invested in Liverpool</a> back in 2012, while <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/nba-superstar-james-harden-joins-dynamo-and-dash-ownership-group-in-houston/1nwcp20bphi1d136shadsqmoth" target="_blank">James Harden is a co-owner of Houston Dynamo</a>. Retired legends Magic Johnson and Steve Nash have also invested in the sport - both at home and abroad.

The Suns' forward expressed his admiration for the Parisian facilities after visiting the club's new training ground earlier this week in a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgYz7AQFKS0" target="_blank">club-sponsored video</a>, saying "this is lovely. I'm grateful to be here."

WHAT KEVIN DURANT SAID

Although the deal is yet to be announced in full, it is expected to be revealed in the coming days - with the NBA star expanding his already rich sports portfolio. For Durant, though, a long rest is deserved after he started every game for team USA at the Paris Olympics, leading them to a gold medal.
