<p>Forshaw left Plymouth in January after seeing his contract terminated and subsequently signed for Blackburn. The 33-year-old, who <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wayne-rooney-let-down-plymouth-star-man-utd-legend-frustrated-championship-point-nine-men/blt83d5920949e923ac" target="_blank">played under Rooney before he was sacked by the club</a>, then faced former employers on Saturday and scored his first goal in nine years in a memorable win. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The win for Blackburn continued their push for a Championship play-off place and certainly brought Plymouth down to earth after an incredible few weeks. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/liverpool-player-ratings-vs-plymouth-diogo-jota-luis-diaz-flop-fa-cup-championship/bltd2b0f1b1a069e5a4" target="_blank">Pilgrims enjoyed a spot of giant-killing in the FA Cup</a> by beating Liverpool and also enjoyed important league wins against West Bromwich Albion and Millwall.</p>

<p>Forshaw spoke about his celebration after the game and insisted it was not aimed at his former club. He posted on Instagram: "No bad intentions with the celebration and sorry for how it came across. WHAT FORSHAW SAID

<p>Forshaw's last goal came all the way back in April 2016 when he netted for Middlesbrough against Reading.</p>
