WHAT HAPPENED?

Kelly is out of contract at Man City next year and, according to the report, has put talks of a renewal on pause until the end of the current season as she focuses on trying to deliver the club's first WSL title in eight years. A departure would certainly be a huge blow for the club, who are also trying to keep hold of fellow England winger Lauren Hemp. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/lauren-hemp-barcelona-lionesses-man-city-england/bltd80c31f5435c9215" target="_blank">Her contract expires this year and Barcelona have been linked</a>.

Their triumph in 2020-21 marks the only season of the last 17 which has not ended with Lyon lifting the Division 1 Feminine trophy.
