<p>Barcelona have tried and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/barcelona-see-attempt-to-register-dani-olmo-officially-rejected-by-la-liga-and-rfef-in-monumental-blow-that-could-leave-eur60m-star-sidelined-for-rest-of-season/blt27336310e499c28f" target="_blank">failed to register Olmo and team-mate Victor</a> for the second half of the season due to their ongoing financial problems. Now, captain Raphinha has admitted if he was a prospective Barca signing, he would "wonder if it's the best option" to head to the Catalan giants.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Asked if this registration debacle would affect potential future transfers, he said: "Yes, it can have an impact, I can’t say the opposite. If I was in another club seeing the situation they are going through, I would probably wonder if coming here is the best option. When I signed for Barca I knew the situation the club was going through. I saw a chance to play for this shirt and I waited until the very last moment. I don’t regret at all my decision."</p>

WHAT RAPHINHA SAID

<p>This has been an <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/barcelona-most-embarrassing-episode-yet-dani-olmo-registration-farce/blt62c5d9246fc8b91b" target="_blank">embarrassing turn of events for Barcelona</a>, particularly as they signed Olmo from RB Leipzig less than six months ago for around <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/barcelona-reach-agreement-sign-dani-olmo-set-to-return-to-camp-nou-on-long-term-contract/blt0999999358e36ae3#csa22696ad516dc870" target="_blank">£50 million ($62m)</a>. And if skipper Raphinha is saying statements such as these, it shows the club are in a real mess.</p>
