<p>The Belgian international and City legend is all set to join the Serie A champions, however, 'small obstacle' is causing a delay in the signing. According to <a href="https://sport.sky.it/calciomercato/2025/06/04/de-bruyne-napoli-calciomercato-news" target="_blank"><em>Sky Sport</em></a> in Italy, the signature is inevitable, but the delay is due to his image rights, and the player’s lawyers are working so that the 33-year-old can complete his medicals and sign the contract.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>After a successful stint at City, De Bruyne will now be heading towards Serie A, where he will play under coach Antonio Conte. According to Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/napoli-president-confirms-kevin-de-bruyne-interest-serie-a-champions-man-city-legend-midfield-hero-scott-mctominay/blt3c9f1f9bd2b4d06b" target="_blank">the club has held negotiations with the player for the last three months</a> and are keen to see the deal go through.</p>
