<p>After Musk's father, Errol Musk, said his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/elon-musk-wants-to-buy-liverpool-billionaire-father-takeover-fsg-raising-price/blt7d3b4a6de4374ef1#cs9e78f20eeb81c9da" target="_blank">son would "like to" purchase Liverpool</a> from Fenway Sports Group, <a href="https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/liverpool-owners-wont-sell-club-to-interested-elon-musk-bnp3p7x5g" target="_blank"><em>The Times</em></a> claim the Tesla and X owner has not contacted the American owners. Moreover, insiders allegedly say there is no desire to have any talks as a result of a radio interview as it lacks seriousness.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Musk is the world's richest man, with an estimated wealth of £340 billion ($424.6bn). While FSG sold a minority stake to United States investment firm Dynasty Equity in September 2023, it seems they will not entertain an approach from Musk - even if he presented them with a lucrative offer. </p>

<p>When asked on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PX6vy5EwKfI"><em>Times Radio</em></a>&nbsp;if his son wanted to buy Liverpool, he replied: "I can’t comment on that, they’ll raise the price! Oh yes, [he has expressed a desire], but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it. He would like to yes, obviously. Anybody would want to - so would I."</p>
