<p><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6394265/2025/05/31/manchester-united-tour-hong-kong-indonesia/" target="_blank"><em>The Athletic</em></a><em> </em>reports that United's players demanded a swift flight home after Friday's 3-1 win over Hong Kong, having been angered by being asked to travel on the post-season tour to Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. They were sitting on a plane just two-and-a-half hours after completing victory.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The squad were allowed to enjoy themselves on the flight out, which took off four hours after Sunday's 2-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa. The drinks flowed on the trip to Asia and a club-wide night out was organised on Monday when they landed.</p>

<p>There was tension during the trip, with Amad Diallo taking to social media to apologise after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/video-frustrated-amad-diallo-malaysian-crowd-middle-finger-man-utd-humiliating-loss-asean-all-stars/bltc6d16caf8423d299" target="_blank">flipping his middle finger at fans</a>. The winger said his mother had been insulted by an "unhealthy individual". Amad was also warned after raising the finger in the direction of Alejandro Garnacho in a selfie with fans, while Garnacho did the same to the camera.</p>
