<p>Wrexham leapfrogged Wycombe to reclaim second place in League One <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/wrexham-going-up-james-mcclean-ollie-rathbone-blackpool-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-wycombe-second-place-league-one-promotion-rivals-charlton/blt568198a1248e536b" target="_blank">as they edged out Blackpool 2-1</a> on Monday. James McClean broke the deadlock just past the hour mark and Oliver Rathbone extended the lead shortly afterwards. Rob Aptor scored a late goal for the hosts, but the Red Dragons eventually walked away with three points.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>As the Welsh club took a step forward to secure a third consecutive direct promotion to the Championship, the travelling fans at Bloomfield Road were joined by club co-owner McElhenney.
