<p>Marseille manager De Zerbi has thwarted any possibility of him being in contact with Inter, as the Nerazzuri reportedly aim to find a replacement for current manager Simone Inzaghi, who <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/simone-inzaghi-talks-inter-future-massive-al-hilal-offer-champions-league-final-humiliation/blt6f980e958cfdaa65" target="_blank">may end up leaving to join Al-Hilal</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Inzaghi’s position is unclear after their 5-0 dismantling against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. Reports in Italian media have claimed the Nerazzuri have shortlisted new names, and De Zerbi’s is among them. However, the Italian manager has waved off any such development.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>While receiving an honorary citizenship at Foggia, De Zerbia was asked about the prospect of joining Inter. He told reporters: "No one called me, especially in the last few days. I'm fine at OM, and so, there's nothing cooking. What if I get a call soon? I don’t know, I can say what has happened up to now and, absolutely, I haven’t heard from anyone."</p>

<p>Inter will play their first match of the Club World Cup on June 17, against Monterrey, at the Rose Bowl.</p>
