<p>Hojlund's miseries in the 2024-25 campaign continued as the Danish forward failed to make any impact in <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-player-ratings-vs-chelsea-rasmus-hojlund-noussair-mazraoui/bltfaafc2ee92ddf0c9" target="_blank">United's 1-0 loss to Chelsea</a> at Stamford Bridge on Friday. The 22-year-old forward's form has been poor all season, with the Dane scoring only 11 goals in 56 appearances and two in his last 12 for the Red Devils.</p>

<p>While manager <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ruben-amorim-rasmus-hojlund-striker-nightmare-man-utd-defeat-chelsea/bltb5216f705ec27466#cs61e428db65329e3a" target="_blank">Ruben Amorim jumped into the striker's defence</a> after the match, United legend and pundit Roy Keane heavily criticised the player for once again misfiring for the team in an important match. With the loss in West London, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-can-t-string-two-wins-misery-statistics-ruben-amorim-s-men-lose-chelsea/blt9baf92e4dfa3e59b" target="_blank">United have now gone winless in their last eight league matches</a>.</p>

<p>Speaking on <a href="https://x.com/SkySportsPL/status/1923499517602586653" target="_blank"><em>Sky Sports</em></a>, the Red Devils icon said: "They have got no striker. Hojlund tonight, he looked like the young kid from Chelsea (Tyrique George). He looked like he had just come out of the academy. His runs weren't right, his timing, his hold-up play. Again, if you're a striker playing for Man United... even for the whole team, one shot on target?"</p><p>When asked if Hojlund lacked support from the midfield, Keane added: "We keep making excuses for him. We talk about confidence, but you still think, when you're a striker, you have to make something happen sometimes. What the big clubs have - and what United have always had - is strikers who can produce something for themselves even if they're not getting great service. They produce something because they have quality, a bit of determination, a bit of experience, football intelligence. We don't see that with Hojlund. His side are up against it all the time. Obviously he needs a little bit of support, but, my goodness, sometimes you have just got to do a little bit better."</p>

<p>Amorim's side will now aim to lift their first trophy of the 2024-25 campaign as they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final in Bilbao on May 21.  </p>
