But <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/harry-maguire-responds-ruben-amorim-worst-man-utd-team-in-history-declaration-frustrated-head-coach-vows-keep-saying-what-i-see/blt29555be8f2d280d1" target="_blank">rather than walking back his claim</a>, the 39-year-old admitted the Red Devils' results were "really bad" and that sugar-coating things will not help.</p>

I am saying, and I am really direct in these things, at this moment we are performing really badly and our results are really bad. I'm saying the obvious. If you are in the stadium you can understand it. WHAT RUBEN AMORIM SAID

<p>Amorim's comments may have been a bit strong, particularly as United have been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/when-was-the-last-time-manchester-united-were-relegated/ui28qgyq6irc12wv78pat3f6f" target="_blank">relegated on a number of occasions</a>. But for one of the biggest clubs in the world, they should be doing far better than sitting 13th in the Premier League after spending hundreds of millions on players.</p>
