<p>Van Nistelrooy <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ruud-van-nistelrooy-gone-ruben-amorim-cutting-erik-ten-hag-staff-man-utd-confirm-club-legend-departure-interim-coach/blt2d0e001d1fce96ad" target="_blank">left Manchester United</a> after a short but successful spell as interim head coach following the sacking of Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman was brought in to assist the former Ajax boss but was instead handed the reins when he was relieved of his duties. Ruben Amorim's arrival raised questions about whether the ex-Man Utd striker would remain at Old Trafford but it was decided he would be leaving the Theatre of Dreams, to the disappointment of many. He has now penned a goodbye letter to fans on social media.</p>

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible efforts and support.
