The Italy international has enjoyed a fine season after bouncing back from his gambling ban last term, forming part of a formidable Magpies midfield alongside Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report adds that Luiz, who signed for Juve last year from Aston Villa, is being considered as a potential make-weight for the deal. The Brazil international has struggled to settle in Turin, with a string of injuries not helping, and has been linked with a return to the Premier League, where he previously scored 20 goals and contributed 18 assists.</p>

<p>Tonali has plenty of previous experience in Serie A, having started his senior career at Brescia before joining AC Milan in 2021. The 25-year-old won the league title with the Rossoneri before joining Newcastle for a reported fee of £60 million ($76m).</p>
