The new United hierarchy believe that cutting back on unnecessary expenses is fundamental to transforming the culture of the club and, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-sir-jim-ratcliffe--25-per-cent-approved-premier-league-ineos/blte6ab5c3620f0fe06" target="_blank">after acquiring their 27.7 per cent stake in United</a>, hired Interpath Advisory to conduct a report into the club's expenses. <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/sport/football/article/manchester-united-private-cars-spending-crackdown-3kbnmh5w7" target="_blank">The Times</a> reports that the preliminary findings of the report has advised the cancellation of all private cars for administrative staff.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Interpath Advisory has been tasked with highlighting any excessive off-the-pitch costs that can be streamlined. This includes looking at suppliers, utilities and travel, as well as other business and operational costs. The group will not be advising on which players to sell to raise cash, but rather other areas where they can save money in order to free up more funds for player signings.

He said: "We have to make sure that the right people end up in the right positions.
