<p>According to <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/sven-goran-erikssons-heartbroken-family-34487471" target="_blank"><em>The Mirror</em>,</a> Eriksson's partner Yaniseth Alcides and children Lina and Johan plan to stage a special auction o his football memorabilia to help raise much-needed funds as the Swede was revealed to have debts of £8.6 million. Much of this debt reportedly stems from losing £10m to financial advisor Samir Khan, to whom he entrusfted his fortune in 2007. He later took Khan to court and won but never got the money back.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Ahead of Eriksson's trophies and prizes being sold, his lawyer Anders Runebjer told The Mirror: "They have a lot of memorabilia that will be sold at an auction. There are a lot of items that they kept. It will be announced and the auction will be internet based."</p>

WHAT ERIKSSON'S LAWYER SAID

<p>Eriksson enjoyed a glittering managerial career, taking charge of England, Lazio, Roma, Manchester City, Mexico and more. After<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/sven-goran-eriksson-former-england-and-man-city-manager-passes-away-aged-76-after-battle-with-cancer/blt28cd872ac8c8e076" target="_blank"> losing the ex-Leicester City manager at the age of 76 last August</a>, his family now have to deal with these hefty debts in the space of a matter of months. His family home is also up for sale.</p>
