<p>The Bayern Munich star scored twice and got an assist at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati as the German giants demolished Auckland City 10-0 in their first game of the Club World Cup. The MLS Eastern Conference side has emerged as potential suitors for the 35-year-old, who bids farewell to Bayern after the tournament.</p>

<p>Muller <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/thomas-muller-mls-germany-legend-prepares-for-bayern-munich-exit/bltea1fe6c28746722e" target="_blank">has talked up the prospect of moving to MLS</a> for some time and has reportedly been in talks with LAFC, though <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/thomas-muller-transfer-lafc-deal-bayern-munich-legend-rejects-mls-usa/blt0607f4bbbda66d68" target="_blank">negotiations have reportedly stalled</a>. Cincinnati, having also been linked with him, could begin talks with him if he decides against moving to Los Angeles and it sounds like the club made a good first impression on the veteran forward.</p>
