Ahead of the Euro 2024 opener between Germany and Scotland, the Ukraine international had made a prediction that either Scotland would upset the hosts with a win or would hold them to a draw. However, in reality, the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/scotland-player-ratings-germany-ryan-porteous-anthony-ralston-angus-gunn/blt30fc67e853c365db" target="_blank">Germans routed the Scots 5-1</a> to begin their journey on a high.

WHAT HAPPENED?

After his prediction went wrong, Mykolenko publicly admitted that he did not understand football as Scotland managed to take just one shot against the host nation and had only 27 per cent possession throughout the game.
